On January 1, 1998, LEGEND ENTERPRISE PUBLISHING & PRODUCTIONS came into being when KAREN SANDELL and THORNE PETERS merged to create a partnership based on total dedication and utter sacrifice to successfully promote the vast array of creative works spawned by The Kingpin, THORNE PETERS.

This partnership has enabled Thorne to release 3 of his novels, a book of poetry, an album of original music, a commemorative ELVIS PRESLEY CD, and an album of excerpts from his radio shows. Their joint commitment to spend their daily bread on the project rather than better living conditions is what has helped Thorne's creations see the light of day this year. By scrimping along they were able to purchase advertising in publications around the country that have brought sales for his novels, as well as radio interviews that put his name and product before a large consumer audience that listen in online from all over the world. At this time HSI Entertainment in Los Angeles is looking over Thorne's novels to see if there's a flicker in them and HYPERION as well as SIMON & SCHUSTER have agreed to accept his literary submissions. His poetry has been circulated around the world and published in periodicals and anthologies. Their collaboration goes beyond friendship or family as now their very lives are in each other’s hands. They are lashed to the mast and are often bailing out their sinking luxury liner with Dixie Cups, but they have no doubt that they will make sea.

Karen says; "The first day I met THORNE I told him that I wanted to be his manager. I had never heard so much talent coming out of one person. I just felt like something had to be done and from that day on I have taken a vow to do whatever I can to bring his talents to the world. Not only do I get to be perpetually entertained by the wittiest person you could imagine, but I've gotten a purpose for my life and the greatest gift of all; hope . . .

The very first lines Thorne wrote in his debut novel were:

To Karen

Who from day one to infinity was there for me as an audience, sounding board, and "Girl Friday." She worked hard on the arduous tasks related to the creation of this novel, as well as taking care of real life concerns while I locked myself away and immersed myself in the fantasy world I was creating. She has withstood personal ridicule from those who cannot understand the depth of her commitment to me, or this endeavor. Without her absolute dedication and belief in me this book would never have gotten finished. Hers is the story of the truest kind of courage that comes from within when you sacrifice all that you are and all that you have with no guarantee of success; with hope as your only certain reward.

THORNE and KAREN would like to extend their gratitude to the people that have lent financial support, creative services, and invaluable access to LEGEND ENTERPRISES over the years.
